Job Description
Darigold is seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our NEW Pasco Plant. This role is responsible for providing leadership and continual improvement in all aspects of warehousing. The Warehouse Supervisor Is responsible for the timely and accurate tracking of product in and out of the warehouse. The warehouse supervisor is responsible for following and ensuring all personnel follow Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy.
As a leader of the Warehouse team, the Warehouse Supervisor should have the desire and ability to contribute to the plant's success. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year. As such, all Darigold employees are expected to follow all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, and facility employee training sessions. They can collaborate with others to achieve team goals, while also effectively working
independently without direct supervision.
What You Will Do - Provide leadership and supervision for the warehouse and associated personnel
- Ensure individuals and teams meet or exceed goals and expectations
- Ensures all compliance training is fully accomplished by all associates
- Formulates, monitors, and tracks schedule and individual employee adherence to the schedule and resolves any attendance issues
- Ensures timekeeping is accurate, up-to-date, and appropriately supported with review notes
- Monitors and controls PTO use and overtime utilization
- Observes, coaches, trains, and intervenes with workers to ensure highest expected performance capability
- Work with HR and senior plant leadership in addressing performance issues.
- Conduct employee reviews
- Participate in projects that improve efficiency, safety, quality
- Shipping/Receiving of various types of material
- Inventory Tracking and Reconciliation
- Organization of Storage Area
- Light maintenance and Sanitation in the Work Area
- Inspecting, Quality Assurance
- Transferring of finished goods, packaging, materials, and ingredients
- Ensuring accurate and timely counts and reporting requirements
- Loading and unloading
- Billing out and logging receipts of goods electronically
- Working safely following all procedures
- Operate diverse types of machinery forklift power pallet jack, terminal tractor
- Work closely with production team providing supplies to keep plant running efficiently
- Assist with training new personnel
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Able to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What You Bring - High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior forklift experience
- Basic math, computer skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- 2 years Supervisor/Lead experience
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- Accurate/Timely receiving and inventory management practices; use and tracking through scan guns, pallet tags, pick lists, packing slips, BOLs, computer entry into Oracle and Access Lot Tracking data base
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform multiple tasks
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving/inventory control
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to move 55 pounds repeatedly
- Willing to work nights/weekends/holidays
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to meet all warehouse and performance standards
- Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to learn rapidly and perform multiple tasks
Nice to Have’s - Read and follow directions of load sheets, schematics, product labels and have numerical ability.
- Familiar with how ERP and WMS work
- Safe operation of sit-down forklift, electric pallet jack and terminal tractor
- Safe Load/Unload of semi-trailers
- Must be able to work in a cool and refrigerated environment.
- Can use an RF scanner gun
- Able to primarily stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift
- Experience driving yard trucks and moving trailers
