We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Organizational Development & HR to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, you will play a key role in translating business objectives into impactful people initiatives that drive a superior customer experience. As a proactive and dynamic leader, you will guide our organizational culture, performance management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention efforts. Additionally, you will manage compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR operations to ensure that our workforce is supported and equipped for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Vision & Strategy:
Serve as a key member of the Corporate Executive Team (CET), helping to drive the overall organizational strategy and support business goals.
Collaborate with department leaders and the Executive Team to execute a long-term vision for organizational development and HR functions.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to leaders at all levels, ensuring the alignment of people strategies with business objectives.
Work proactively with all business functions to understand challenges and opportunities, using this knowledge to shape effective organizational initiatives.
Values & Culture:
Develop and implement people and culture initiatives that foster high employee engagement and retention.
Act as Executive Sponsor for the Events Committee, empowering them to drive team-building and culture-enhancing activities.
Leverage feedback from employee engagement and exit surveys to inform improvements and changes that enhance company culture.
Champion workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives to attract and retain a diverse and talented workforce.
Organizational Development:
Use behavioral assessments (e.g., Predictive Index, Clifton Strengths, DISC) to drive talent development, creating tailored training programs across all levels of the organization.
Foster a high-performance culture by enhancing performance management frameworks, career pathing, feedback systems, and internal development opportunities.
Build scalable learning and development programs, including new hire onboarding and mentorship initiatives.
Provide strategic advice on employee relations to maintain a positive and compliant work environment, working closely with employment counsel when necessary.
Total Rewards and Operations:
Strengthen our competitive and equitable total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, recognition programs, and incentives to attract and retain top talent.
Manage the relationship with the PEO service provider to ensure optimal service delivery for payroll, benefits, and policy administration.
Collaborate with the CFO to negotiate favorable contract terms for annual renewals of compensation and benefits programs.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
12-15+ years of experience in HR, Organizational Design & Development, and Talent Management, with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Expertise in delivering workforce plans, managing compensation strategies, employee relations, and ensuring compliance.
Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant and coach to executives, leading to the successful development of leadership teams.
Skilled in designing and implementing streamlined plans for recruiting, training, and retention.
Strong technical skills with HR platforms such as Microsoft 365, Leapsome (performance and engagement), and Workable (ATS).
A positive, solutions-oriented mindset to foster a culture of respect, accountability, and high performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong project management capabilities.
Experience creating impactful presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to represent organizational culture and strategic goals.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working with PEOs (preferably Insperity Premier).
Familiarity with behavioral assessments such as Predictive Index or DISC.
Previous office management experience.

This role will be based in New Hyde Park, NY, with an expected salary range of $200,000 - $230,000, depending on experience.
