Position Summary: As a Student Services Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students, both on-site and remotely, by acting as a liaison between program activities and students. You will maintain detailed records of student enrollment and collaborate with the community to achieve program goals. This role requires a team-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support: Provide exceptional customer service to students, assisting with technical issues and offering guidance throughout their program experience.
Recruitment & Orientation: Assist in the recruitment process and facilitate orientation activities to welcome new students.
Testing & Reporting: Prepare and administer appraisals and tests, ensuring timely submission of related paperwork to administrative offices.
Community Engagement: Represent and market programs to the target community, serving as a resource for program-related information and activities.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic student files, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with instructors, teachers, and site staff to foster a positive learning environment.
Operational Support: Perform clerical duties, manage supplies, track inventory, and ensure compliance with health department regulations for meal programs.
Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and diplomacy.
Bilingual in Spanish is required.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; an AA degree or some college experience is preferred.
At least two years of related experience is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
A valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance are required.
Willingness to travel as needed, up to 40% of the time.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Work Environment:
While primarily working in an office setting, occasional exposure to outside weather conditions is expected.
