Job Overview

The Medical Technologist will execute a diverse range of moderate and high-complexity laboratory tests and procedures. This role is critical to ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatments by maintaining stringent quality control and analyzing test results. Responsibilities include performing testing in areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, RIA/Serology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology.

This full-time night position is scheduled from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM , including a rotation for every other weekend and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze laboratory tests, ensuring precision in results for diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment or testing issues.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to deliver timely and reliable test results.
• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with established testing protocols across areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and more.
• Contribute to laboratory efficiency through preventive maintenance and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in Blood Bank, Chemistry Lab, and Hematology.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in conducting diagnostic tests in multiple laboratory disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting testing processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in laboratory operations.
