Position : Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Location : Venice, FL
Compensation : $85,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience
Job Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Overview

A dynamic engineering firm in Venice, FL, is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer / Project Manager with a strong background in land development, roadway, and utility engineering. This position is ideal for a highly professional civil engineer with experience in both private and public sector projects. The successful candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or be able to obtain Florida licensure within four months.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct studies, reports, designs, and plan preparation for civil engineering projects.
• Oversee and manage projects, ensuring that specifications align with municipal and state requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and supervise technical staff as directed by the VP of Engineering.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, ARC Map (GIS), and MODRET for computer modeling and project planning.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in project management preferred.
• Licensure : P.E. or E.I. in Florida or eligible for Florida reciprocity within four months of hire.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in civil engineering design, structural analysis, permitting, and familiarity with project-specific software.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary : $85,000 - $150,000, commensurate with education and experience.
