The automotive technician field is wide open for employment and is very lucrative for those who excel. As vehicles become more complex and new technologies, such as alternative fuel powered vehicles, rise in popularity, skilled technicians will become more highly demanded and more highly compensated than ever. The Hyundai of Auburn Technician Apprentice program will give individuals the opportunity to enter the automotive technician field with the tools, training, and support to be successful. No tools? No problem. Candidates who wish to enroll in our Technician Apprentice program will be provided a set of tools to use and extensive training and support from our experienced staff here at Hyundai of Auburn. After 24 months with the company, the technician will become the owner of the set of tools they have been using!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience at an automotive dealership preferred
• Strong understanding of the service drive
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
