Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the detail departments for Allen Turner Hyundai, Preowned, and Genesis, ensuring productivity and quality.
  • Hire, train, and supervise detail staff, setting performance expectations and maintaining high standards.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure vehicles meet company standards.
  • Manage inventory of detailing products and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs and services, including paint and body work.
  • Create employee schedules, track attendance, and monitor performance.
  • Ensure the department adheres to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including reporting and maintaining service records.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure vehicles are ready for display or delivery.
  • Manage special projects such as promotional displays or event vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support dealership operations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in automotive detailing or a related field, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive detailing products, tools, and processes.
  • Leadership: Experience in managing and motivating a team, with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen.
